In church on Sunday my Pastor said something that made me really evaluate how I allow God to use me. He said that as Christians we try to be kind to one another, say nice things and be the example of Christ for unbelievers. What we may not realize is that yes, these are good things to practice, but have we SHARED Jesus Christ with the people we interact with on a daily basis? It is one thing to be a sweet and encouraging person but without actually sharing the gospel we aren't doing any service to our Lord and Savior.
We need to be bold and speak of our Lord in line at the grocery store, at the gas station, in our schools, at our work places and in our homes. Those who call themselves Christians should want to share this good news of the gospel. Why aren't we excited? And if we are excited, that is great get a group together and make an impact in your community, city, or small town. We need to be busy for our Lord!
I have often prayed a prayer like this, "Lord use me!" Well that is a broad statement. I hadn't realized the reality of this simple sweet prayer. God will use you. All you have to do is ask him. The thing is, when He places an opportunity in front of you, you have to recognize it. I have tried to tell myself that maybe this wasn't a "God opportunity" and I try and walk the other way. Don't let the devil get a hold of you. Greater things have yet to be done! Get busy sharing the good news of Jesus Christ!
